What Success Looks Like In This Role

  • Execute SEO That Drives Results: Implement proven SEO strategies that improve search visibility, user experience, and lead generation. Focus on completing high-quality SEO work that contributes to measurable business outcomes, including
    • Keyword research rooted in user intent and conversion potential
    • On-page optimization aligned with UX and engagement best practices
    • Off-page authority building and link acquisition
    • Technical SEO (crawlability, site performance, indexation)
    • Local and multi-location SEO strategy
    • Schema implementation and SERP feature optimization
  • Support Client Growth: Help improve the KPIs that matter most to clients—including qualified traffic, leads, phone calls, and conversions—by consistently executing SEO best practices and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage Multiple Client Accounts: Successfully balance priorities across several client accounts, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Build Trusted Client Relationships: Participate confidently in client meetings, communicate SEO work clearly, answer questions, and build the skills necessary to become a strategic advisor over time.
  • Support Local & Multi-Location SEO: Execute local SEO initiatives, including Google Business Profile optimization, location page enhancements, citation management, and other tactics that improve local search visibility.
  • Monitor Performance: Review rankings, traffic, and SEO performance regularly. Identify trends, surface opportunities, and work with your Strategist or Lead to prioritize improvements.
  • Deliver Executive-level Reporting & Highlights: Prepare accurate monthly reports, clearly communicate progress with weekly highlights, and demonstrate a clear understanding of how SEO efforts contribute to broader marketing and business objectives.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Development, Content, UX, Paid Media, and Account Management teams to ensure SEO recommendations are implemented correctly and support overall campaign success.
  • Continue Learning: Stay current on Google algorithm updates, AI search developments, SEO tools, and industry best practices. Demonstrate curiosity and continually improve your technical and strategic knowledge.
  • Contribute to Agency Success: Support internal initiatives, including process improvements, documentation, content creation, and knowledge sharing that strengthen the SEO team and the agency as a whole.
  • Work Flexibly: Primarily work remotely from a dedicated, professional workspace while remaining camera-ready for meetings. Collaborate with clients and teammates virtually, with occasional in-person meetings at our St. Louis headquarters.

What Sets You Up for Success

  • U.S.-based candidates only
  • Ability to meet at TG headquarters in St. Louis, MO, as needed
  • Passion for SEO, digital marketing, and helping clients grow
  • 2–4 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including on-page, technical, local, and off-page SEO
  • Experience performing keyword research, content optimization, metadata creation, and internal linking
  • Familiarity with technical SEO concepts, including crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and schema
  • Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4
  • Comfortable working within WordPress and other common CMS platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Eager to learn, accept feedback, and continually improve
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Shopify or WooCommerce
  • Google Business Profile optimization experience
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager
  • Exposure to Data Studio reporting
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices (WCAG/ADA)
  • Exposure to Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
  • Experience creating SEO content briefs or content optimization recommendations
