What Success Looks Like In This Role
- Lead a Passionate Team: Build, mentor, and grow a team of Social Media Strategists and Specialists. Set clear expectations, develop KPIs, and create a culture where the team does its best work and continuously levels up its craft.
- Grow the Department: Own the growth of the social media department, shaping its structure, capabilities, and reputation. Elevate the maturity of our product/service offering so it becomes a differentiator in new business and a driver of client retention.
- Own the Creative Pipeline: Don’t wait for assets to be handed over. Model proactive, engaging content creation, including on-site shoots at client locations. Elevate organic content as a driver of growth alongside paid, and develop your Strategists’ and Specialists’ skills, confidence, and initiative to do the same.
- Drive Paid Social Performance: Develop and execute sophisticated Paid Social strategies that generate measurable business outcomes, with deep specialization in Meta and LinkedIn, including:
- Full-funnel campaign architecture aligned to lead generation and revenue
- Advanced audience targeting, segmentation, and lookalike modeling
- Budget pacing, bid strategy, and efficient scaling
- Conversion tracking, pixel/CAPI implementation, and attribution
- B2B demand generation and account-based approaches on LinkedIn
- Hit MRR and Revenue Goals: Take ownership of departmental contribution to the agency’s revenue targets. Partner with leadership on pricing, packaging, and marketing to ensure social offerings are profitable and scalable.
- Elevate the Offering: Continuously raise the bar on what the agency delivers in social—refining methodology, deliverables, reporting, and strategic frameworks so clients see social as essential to their growth.
- Connect Social to Leads and Revenue: Align social KPIs with real business goals such as form fills, qualified leads, booked appointments, and pipeline. Ensure paid and organic social contribute meaningfully to the bottom line, not just to reach and engagement.
- Be a True Client Partner: Serve as a proactive, consultative, senior-level strategist who confidently leads social conversations, business reviews, and roadmap planning. Translate complex social strategy into clear business language and guide clients toward smart, long-term growth decisions.
- Test and Optimize for ROI: Apply a rigorous test-and-learn approach across creative, audiences, placements, and messaging. Evaluate lead quality and conversion impact—not just impressions and clicks—to continuously improve the value delivered to clients.
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Proactively uncover new channels, formats, audiences, and offerings that expand client results and grow department revenue.
- Monitor the Competitive Landscape: Evaluate client and competitor performance data, platform shifts, and emerging trends to inform strategic pivots and uncover untapped opportunities.
- Deliver Data-Driven Insights: Analyze spend efficiency, funnel performance, engagement, and conversion data to provide forward-looking recommendations that tie social performance directly to business KPIs.
- Produce Executive-Ready Reporting: Interpret data in platform dashboards, GA4, Looker Studio, or similar tools to clearly demonstrate social’s contribution to leads, revenue, and overall business growth.
- Collaborate Across Channels for Unified Success: Partner closely with Paid Search, SEO, Creative, UX, Development, and other internal teams to ensure social efforts align with fully integrated marketing flywheels and maximize cross-channel performance.
- Champion Innovation and Best Practices: Stay current on platform algorithm changes, new ad products, AI-driven tooling, and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and performance across the team.
- Contribute to Agency Visibility: Support thought-leadership initiatives, such as blogs and webinars, that showcase the agency’s social media expertise.
- Work Flexibly: Primarily work remotely, camera-ready from your dedicated workspace, meeting with clients and internal teams regularly. Collaborate and connect in person, as needed, at our St. Louis HQ.
