ICS Construction Services Ltd. Success Story
ICS Construction Services Ltd. has been a trusted St. Louis-based general contractor since 1980. Specializing in general contracting, tenant finishes, and self-performed services like carpentry and flooring, ICS wanted to amplify its reputation for craftsmanship and cost control through a targeted LinkedIn strategy.
That’s where Timmermann Group came in. ICS partnered with TG to build a strong LinkedIn presence from the ground up—one designed to increase brand visibility, support business development, and strengthen recruitment efforts in a competitive construction market.

The Challenge
ICS entered 2025 with no established social media presence, despite being a respected contractor since 1980. In an industry where relationships, reputation, and timing matter, ICS needed a way to stay visible with developers, architects, and decision-makers, especially during active RFPs and bid cycles.
The challenge wasn’t just getting on LinkedIn. It was building a credible, professional presence that could:
- Differentiate ICS from competitors
- Communicate their self-performing capabilities
- Drive meaningful website traffic
- Support long-term lead generation and hiring
How TG Helped
Timmermann Group developed and executed a LinkedIn-first social media strategy designed to support ICS’s full funnel from awareness and credibility to engagement and inbound opportunity.
The strategy was intentionally built to support the entire funnel, building awareness at the top, reinforcing credibility in the middle, and driving engagement and action at the bottom.
Rather than operating as a disconnected vendor, we acted as a collaborative marketing partner, aligning social content with ICS’s real-world business development efforts. Content was strategically scheduled around project milestones, active RFPs, bid deadlines, and networking initiatives to ensure ICS stayed top-of-mind when decisions were being made.
Every post was crafted to reflect ICS’s authoritative, confident, and approachable voice, supported by high-quality visuals and discoverability-focused hashtag strategies.
Social Media Strategy
LinkedIn Thought Leadership & Organic Content
To position ICS as a trusted voice in the construction industry, we developed a steady cadence of thought leadership and brand-building content. This included industry insights, project expertise, behind-the-scenes looks at self-performed services, and posts highlighting company culture and career opportunities.
Project spotlights and in-progress updates played a key role in showcasing craftsmanship, execution, and operational control—reinforcing ICS’s credibility with both prospects and peers.

Paid Social Advertising
Targeted LinkedIn Campaigns
To amplify reach and accelerate early growth, we launched paid LinkedIn campaigns targeting developers, architects, facility managers, and business leaders in the St. Louis region. This included a Dream 100 list, curated from the most valuable and influential companies and decision makers ICS wants to work with. This ensures early media dollars are concentrated on the accounts most likely to drive long term partnership and pipeline value, while reinforcing ICS as a top of mind general contractor within the St. Louis development and design community.
Organic content was strategically boosted to extend visibility among high-value audiences, while retargeting campaigns re-engaged website visitors to support lead and recruitment momentum.
This paid-and-organic blend ensured ICS wasn’t just posting consistently but showing up in the right feeds at the right time.
Results: From Ground Zero to Real Traction
In just the first month of launching ICS’s LinkedIn presence, the strategy delivered measurable traction and momentum:
- 457 LinkedIn followers gained from zero
- 1,826 LinkedIn impressions
- 190 post clicks
- 73 total engagements across likes, shares, and comments
- 620 website users from social media, with a 51% engagement rate
Project spotlights and community-focused content emerged as top performers, with the highest-engaging post earning 665 impressions and 23 likes. Social traffic also showed early signs of high intent, with 392 engaged sessions out of 764 total sessions from social channels.
Early engagement included interactions and profile views from decision-makers in healthcare, education, and commercial development, which signaled strong audience quality, not just increased activity.
Beyond the numbers, ICS established a credible digital presence that now supports:
- Ongoing lead generation
- Recruitment visibility
- Relationship-driven business development
With foundational content series like “Behind the Build” and “ICS Through the Years” in place—and a Dream 100 target list informing outreach and ad targeting—ICS is positioned for sustained growth both online and on the jobsite.
