- Paid Search Strategy That Drives Conversions: Build and execute paid search strategies that go beyond clicks and impressions, instead focusing on generating qualified leads, revenue growth, and measurable business outcomes, including:
- Full-funnel campaign architecture across Search, Performance Max, Shopping, and Demand Gen aligned to lead generation and revenue
- Keyword strategy, search term mining, and negative keyword sculpting rooted in buyer intent
- Ad copy development and structured testing frameworks
- Bid strategy, budget pacing, and efficient scaling
- Conversion tracking, enhanced conversions, offline conversion imports, and attribution
- Local and multi-location strategies for service-area and location-based businesses
- Implement Strategic Recommendations: Translate strategy into timely, high-impact actions that move the needle. Write clear creative and technical briefs, validate implementation, and ensure execution drives measurable performance improvements.
- Connect Search to Leads and Revenue: Align paid search KPIs with real business goals such as form fills, phone calls, booked appointments, and ultimately revenue. Partner with clients and internal teams to ensure paid search contributes meaningfully to pipeline growth and to the bottom line.
- Manage Workloads Effectively: Balance multiple client accounts and budgets in a fast-paced agency environment, ensuring priorities are aligned with business impact and campaigns stay on track.
- Be a Trusted Client Partner: Serve as a proactive, client-facing strategist who confidently supports paid search conversations, business reviews, and roadmap planning alongside senior team members. Translate platform concepts into clear business language to help clients make smart growth decisions.
- Own Budget Efficiency: Manage spend responsibly across your accounts—pacing budgets, controlling CPC, CPA, and CPL, and reallocating dollars toward what’s working to maximize return for every client.
- Test and Optimize for ROI: Apply a rigorous test-and-learn approach across keywords, ad copy, bidding, and landing pages. Evaluate lead quality, landing page performance, and conversion impact to improve the value delivered to clients.
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Proactively uncover new keywords, campaign types, audiences, and platform features that expand client results.
- Monitor the Competitive Landscape: Evaluate client and competitor performance data, auction insights, and ad copy trends to inform strategic pivots and uncover untapped opportunities.
- Deliver Data-Driven Insights: Analyze spend efficiency, funnel performance, impression share, and conversion data to provide forward-looking recommendations that tie paid search performance to business KPIs.
- Produce Client-Ready Reporting: Interpret data in Google Ads, GA4, Looker Studio, or similar tools to clearly demonstrate paid search’s contribution to leads, revenue, and overall business growth.
- Collaborate Across Channels for Unified Success: Partner closely with Paid Social, SEO, Content, UX, and Development teams to ensure paid search efforts align with fully integrated marketing flywheels, improve the user experience, and maximize cross-channel performance.
- Share Knowledge and Grow: Contribute to a culture of learning by sharing wins and takeaways with the team, while actively seeking mentorship to sharpen your craft and strategic thinking.
- Champion Innovation and Best Practices: Stay current on platform algorithm changes, new campaign types, AI-driven tooling, and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Contribute to Agency Visibility: Support thought-leadership initiatives, such as blogs and webinars, that showcase the agency’s paid search expertise.
- Work Flexibly: Primarily work remotely, camera-ready from your dedicated workspace, meeting with clients and internal teams regularly. Collaborate and connect in person, as needed, at our St. Louis HQ.
What Sets You Up for Success
- U.S.-based candidates only
- Ability to meet at TG headquarters in St. Louis, MO, as needed
- 2+ years of hands-on paid search experience with demonstrated execution and measurable business results
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads
- Thrives in an agency environment, managing multiple clients across core industries
- Proven ability to manage client accounts and contribute to lead generation, pipeline growth, and revenue impact
- Ability to prioritize competing initiatives and make sound recommendations
- Solid command of campaign architecture, keyword strategy, ad testing, bid strategy, and budget optimization
- Experience with conversion tracking, enhanced conversions, and attribution across the funnel
- Experience managing ad spend with accountability for CPC, CPA, CPL, and ROAS
- Ability to prioritize initiatives based on business return
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Paid Social, SEO, creative, UX, development, and analytics teams
- Proficiency in tools like Google Ads, GA4, and Looker Studio
- Comfortable participating in client-facing strategy discussions and reporting presentations
- Skilled at simplifying platform concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret GA4 data and attribution models
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Up to date on platform changes, campaign type releases, and search trends
Nice to Have
- Experience with or working alongside a Paid Social team to maximize combined performance
- Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising certifications
- Exposure to or experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and landing page testing
- Familiarity with additional paid platforms (paid social, YouTube, programmatic, local services ads)
- Experience with call tracking platforms and lead quality analysis (e.g., CallRail)
- Comfort representing the agency in external thought leadership (webinars, blogs, etc.)
