At Timmermann Group, we strive to be ahead of the curve in everything we do, including our hiring practices. Though women now make up almost 50 percent of those working in the advertising industry, digital marketing seems to be one area in which representation still lags, with less than 40 percent of the industry being represented by women.
How did we end up with a team so equally split between men and women? Not by hiring based on gender, but by hiring the best person for the job—and about half of those people just happened to be women. For Women’s History Month this year, we wanted to showcase some of the women who make Timmermann Group so great and help us continue to stay ahead of the curve.
