19 Things You Didn’t Know About Timmermann Group

  1. Timmermann Group started in 2003 as a website design shop with Rob Timmermann at the helm. It took a few years, but eventually, Rob added additional support after clients began to ask for other services. Timmermann Group is now 26 employees strong, and we are a full-service digital marketing agency.
  2. Our very first client is still with us, 15 years later.
  3. Timmermann Group is located in the Midtown neighborhood of St. Louis. Missouri. St. Louis has been called one of the fastest growing areas for commercial real estate and the “Silicon Valley of the Midwest.” We’re excited to be a part of Midtown’s growing success.
  4. Timmermann Group’s employees have a vast array of educational backgrounds and degrees, from Product Development to International Studies and Philosophy.
  5. The employees of Timmermann Group have a total of more than 125 years of marketing experience.
  6. At Timmermann Group, we’re focused on our employees’ wellbeing – for the mind, body, and soul. We encourage each other to find outlets to relieve stress and offer lunch hours to go to the gym, run outside, or attend a yoga class.

We share the results with each other throughout the year and discuss how to best utilize each of our strength profiles to improve our team dynamic.

  9. As Timmermann Group has grown, we’ve continued to strive to hire top talent. However, we also like to promote from within. Six current employees started their careers at Timmermann Group in an entry level role and have since been promoted to leadership positions.

  11. Every month, employees nominate a co-worker who best represents our values for the “Value Board Member of the Month” award. Our values were created by employees, for employees and are as follows: Strategy, Responsibility, Helpfulness, Communication, Honesty, and Support.
  12. Timmermann Group offers a generous PTO package for their employees. While some employees prefer a nice “staycation,” our very own Megan Grothman has traveled to 28 states, eight countries and two of the seven new world wonders.
  13. Our employees are quite talented with their own unique hobbies and gifts.  For example, Jason Kanzler can be found DJing at local bars on a Friday or Saturday night.
  14. One of our Content Strategists, Cory Schaefer, was a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Gateway Chapter Man of the Year Award after raising $10,000 for the charity.
  15. Every year, Timmermann Group partners with a local non-profit to raise funds in an effort to share their mission and values. Last year, Timmermann Group supported the Animal Protective Association of Missouri.
  16. 62% of Timmermann Group employees own a dog and 24% own a cat.
  17. Furry friends are very important to us. Every Friday, a different employee is invited to bring their dog to work with them. We offer a new adoption PTO period, during which employees can take time to become acquainted with their new best friend. We also offer PTO for bereavement after their best friend is no longer with us.
  18. You can always find healthy snacks in our office’s pantry and refrigerators, such as granola bars, nuts, and apples for employees to have a quick nutritious snack during the day.
  19. On what is arguably the most important day of the year, we have an annual chili-cook every fall to let employees show off their cooking skills with both carnivorous and vegan chili options. We offer awards for the best meat dish, best vegan dish, and most creative dish name.
